Me & the Boys

Here is me with our sweet, adorable boys on Mother's Day.  So very, very grateful.

Watching Big Brother

It's so cute to see how much Preston and Griffin adore each other.  When Griffin is outside, Preston likes to check on him to see what he is up to.  Griffin does the same.  So sweet.

Flower Shopping on Mother's Day

After watching Griffin sing in church, we had a great Mother's Day brunch at our house, then took my mom to get some flowers.  It was a chilly  windy day, but the boys were in good spirits!  Griffin likes to help with the plants and the wagon, which sometimes gets a little crazy.  We've been know to wind up with some random flowers and crazy wagon driving!

Making Mother's Day Cards

We thought it would be fun to make Mother's Day cards with hand prints of the kiddos.  What an adventure!   We were laughing our heads off as paint got everywhere.  After we were done, we carried the boys upstairs and gave them baths--the tub got really colorful very quickly!

Creative Boy

It's always fun/interesting/surprising to see what Griffin comes up with next.  On this day he grabbed a tow rope and had all sorts of fun attaching things, towing things and creating things.  He's such a creative little boy!

Games with Nonna

Now that my parents are back (yeah!) we've been having lots of fun spending time with them.  One thing that  Griffin and Preston's Nonna is known for is GAMES!  Griffin and Nonna have been playing lots of games....card games, Operation, the pig game and Trouble.  Preston loves to watch!  (He loves to do anything Griffin is doing!)

1000 Book Before Kindergarten

When Griffin was 3 1/2, we signed him up for the 1,000 books before Kindergarten program through the library.  We read a lot, so that didn't seem like a big deal, but there is a catch.  The books all have to be library books.  So, that's CHECKING OUT 1,000 books!  We were making progress, little by little.  We were at about 250 books, then didn't get to the library for a while.  We talked with Griffin and together decided we were going to make the goal!  So, we've been diligently cycling through library books in our home, going to the library a couple times a week and filling up Griffin and Preston's library book bags.  We are now at nearly 600 books!  We sit down on the couch and have "book marathons" the boys love it! Here is one of the books that Griffin insisted we check out--it's GIANT!!
