Uncle Chris

Uncle Chris is definitely Griffin's buddy. In fact the other night I was sitting next to Griffin at a restaurant and he asked me to move so that Uncle could sit next to him!!

Kite Flying

Jamie went skiing on Wednesday and Chris was at work, so Griffin and I were on our own. We had a fun walk and visit to a park. The weather was perfect for kite flying! Griffin was so excited to see the kite so far up in the sky!

Happy Hubby

Jamie was very excited to be able to spend a little time on the way back from Estes fishing in the Big Thompson River!

Estes Park

We had a great day in Estes Park and driving through Rocky Mountain National Park. We would have loved to hike around, but out little sidekick slept through the entire tour of the park!

Monson State Park

We got a MN State Park Passport last summer, the goal is to visit every state park in Minnesota. Each park has a stamp, so you can keep track of where you've been. On the way to Morris the other day, I noticed a sign for a state park near Sunburg. It was gorgeous out today, so I thought it would be a great time to explore this "new to me" state park. We brought a picnic lunch and enjoyed eating out in the sunshine! Then we went on a little hike. Griffin loved carrying a walking stick (or two) and exploring nature. It's so fun to see his excitement over the great outdoors!

Sunday Afternoon 4 Wheeler Ride

We had fun exploring Charlie's "junk" this afternoon. Griffin liked sitting on one of the broken down snowmobiles and throwing biggies off of our dock....wow it looks a lot worse out of the water than it does in the water!!

Easter Eggs

We were going to make cupcakes, but opted for Easter Eggs instead. Kendall and Griffin loved coloring the eggs and dropping them into the dye. We made ours into delicious egg salad sandwiches for dinner.

Children's Museum

Griffin and Kendall had a great time at the Children's Museum on Wednesday. We had a whirlwind day, after the museum we went to the Cardinal girls basketball game at the U--they played hard--but lost, then we had a nice dinner at Olive Garden. I don't know who was more worn out, the kids or the moms!

Halloween Costume Came Back for a Night

The little man wanted to wear his Halloween costume to bed the other night. I figured life was just too short to not wear your Halloween costume to bed, so here he is!

Go Cardinals!

We went to the Cardinal boys basketball game and it had us on the edge of our seats--to say the very least! When the Cards threw the ball to gain a point on West I was jumping up and down like crazy--and nearly forgot I was holding Griffin! He looked at me like I was half nuts and then got a big smile. I think he knew what an exciting win it was! We'll have a fun-filled basketball week since we are going to the Cities on Wednesday with Michelle and Kendall to catch the girls game--they will be playing in the state tournament! Here is a photo of Griffin all ready to head out to the game.

Cookie Thief

After dinner Griffin was drinking his milk and he mentioned that it would be a good idea to dunk cookies in his milk--we agreed! So, we made some cookies. As I was cleaning, I turned around and found our little man sneaking cookie dough. Smart kid. He wanted me to watch the cookies bake with him....how could I resist that!?

Snow Fun at Prairie Woods

We went to Prairie Woods Environmental Learning Center to enjoy the amazing weather and get in some sledding. It was great to get some fresh air and exercise! After we were done we came home and all took a nap--bliss!

Silly Sleeping, Once Again

Bulb Garden

I LOVE bulb gardens! Here's a few photos of a tulip that opened overnight. Gorgeous.

Getting Ready for Summer

Jamie took out Griffin's fishing pole so that he could get ready for the summer fishing season! Jamie's theory is: The more tangles he deals with now, the less there will be in the boat. Makes sense to me! Here's one of Griffin's good casts, caught on film!
