Another Fun Wednesday

It was gorgeous on Wednesday morning, so we decided to head to the trail.  Griffin's bike was in need of repair (Fortunately we discovered that Santa had a deal with Wal-Mart....if you get a bike from Santa for Christmas and something goes wrong with it, Wal-Mart will fix it.  :) ), so he rode the John Deere bike that his buddy Hunter fixed up for him.  We had fun exploring along the way.  

 When we got home we spotted some really dark, strange clouds!

 We worked on some party preparations (these are the "pin the dog tag on Scooby Doo" tags we made).

 Then the boys decided to take cover under the table since it was raining really hard.

 Preston thought this was pretty funny!  He makes this face when he is giggly.

Fortunately, the storm passed quickly so we could head to swim lessons.  Griffin has been doing an awesome job swimming on his own!!

Enjoying the Spring Weather!

Spring = mud for Griffin.  On this Wednesday, he woke up, ate and ran outside as quickly as he could.  He opened the door and asked if I could put on Buddy's mud suit and rain boots and bring him outside.  Interesting.  He came back wondering why we weren't outside yet and clarified that a "mud suit" was clothes that could protect him from the mud.  I kept Buddy as safe as I could in the swing and under the sun umbrella but he did manage to get a bit of mud on him from big brother's kisses and hugs.  I have a feeling that next year he will be right in the mud with his big brother.  Preston LOVED the swing and the breeze.  He was all smiles.

Spring Fever!

Griffin wanted to go swimming so badly, so we made a deal.  He would learn how to tie his shoes, then we'd go.  And, he did it!  I was so proud of him--he worked through the frustration and did it!!  We got DQ for lunch and instead of going to the Y to swim this time, we went to the local hotel.  They offer day passes, so I thought we'd check it out.  It was perfect!  We had the pool all to ourselves for 3 hours....nice!  Griffin loved getting his snorkel gear out, Preston loved splashing around and watching Griffin and we enjoyed making up tons of games.  

 He couldn't wait to get in!

 Preston got worn out, so took a snooze.  Aren't his feet so cute crossed like that??
