Making Peanut Butter

The other day, Griffin asked how you make peanut butter.  Good question.  Turns out its easy, put peanuts in a food processor and that's it!  And, wow, was it good! 

Baby Food

I loved making Griffin's baby food, and now thanks to the sweet gals at work I am going to enjoy making food for Preston even more!  They gave us an awesome baby food steamer/processor, a cook book and trays to store and freeze the food in.  We started with carrots, the neighbors gave us a bunch straight from their garden...yum!  The end result is waiting in the freezer until Preston can eat baby food.

Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice

The other day Griffin mentioned that juice came out of a can and you just add water to it.  Of course, this made me GASP!  So, I gave him a lesson on fresh squeezed orange juice!

Griffin is getting to be such a big boy, now he can make his own dinner--yee-haw! It's gonna be easy here on out!

Cookie Thief

After dinner Griffin was drinking his milk and he mentioned that it would be a good idea to dunk cookies in his milk--we agreed! So, we made some cookies. As I was cleaning, I turned around and found our little man sneaking cookie dough. Smart kid. He wanted me to watch the cookies bake with him....how could I resist that!?

Deb and Georgene are coming for lunch, so I thought I'd make a special dessert. I hope it's as good as it looks!!

Christmas Day

Our poor little guy had the stomach flu on Christmas day! We felt SO bad for him. Our gift opening lasted 12 hours because we stopped and started for naps. Fortunatley he started feeling better after his afternoon nap and even wanted to go for a golf cart ride to see the Christmas lights!

We got some great apples from Wendy and Mary Kaye and had lots of fun cutting...and eating them! We froze some, so will be able to enjoy a little of fall this winter!

Slushy

We went through the drive through of our local ice cream place when it was raining the other night. We decided to get Griffin a slushy since an ice cream cone in the car would lead to one big mess. He didn't want to even try it until Jamie and I told him it was ours and I cut the straw down...then we couldn't get it away from him!!

Big Spoon

Griffin has been really into eating with a big spoon. He's so proud that he can eat like a big boy and it gives us a good laugh!

Cookies

Griffin learned the art of cookie dunking the other night. He caught on quickly!

Penguin Cupcake

Griffin got this penguin cupcake from Annette. He loved it...once he could get a bite! But, he sure didn't like having his fingers dirty. He'd hold his fingers out to me and plead "please" so I'd wipe them off!
Someone at Annette's church is a great baker, so she made the cupcakes for the youth group's winter celebration.
