Perfect Day
We had a ton of fun with Jenny, Chloe and Cooper today! We biked to the Spicer park and took the long way--it was gorgeous, although I am convinced it was uphill both ways! After the park we ate at Melvin's, then let the kids play in the water. It was freezing cold, but they were so happy! On the way home we stopped for ice cream. Another perfect Wednesday!

My Mother's Day Gift
Yes, I did get beautiful cards, nice flowers, a great necklace and my favorite--peanut M&Ms for Mother's Day. But here were two of my favorite gifts:
1) This weekend Griffin told me: "We need to recycle this." "I am going to put this in the compost." and "Momma, please turn off your light, we don't want to waste energy." Yep, he's a Momma's boy, I am so proud!!
2) Jamie, Griffin and I celebrated Mother's Day on Saturday. We went shopping, went out to eat and went swimming at the Y. On the way to get ice cream Griffin said, "It was a great day!" Ahhh, enough to melt my heart.
Two great Mother's Day gifts.

May Day
We made May Day baskets for the neighbors and for Nonna and Poppa. I explained to Griffin that he needed to ring the doorbell and run and hide....he told me he didn't want to run away from the neighbors or Nonna and Poppa! Apparently he likes them too much! I was surprised when he actually followed by instructions and rang the doorbell and tried to sneak to the side of the house before Nonna saw him. And, yes, in case you were wondering, he did make a May Day basket for us!
