Driveway Tennis

Griffin has been into tennis lately...this awesome net has made it even easier to play...less trips to the high school tennis court!  Who knew having a paved driveway would lead to so much fun!?

Ice Skating

If you follow my "hope" blog you saw that Jamie recently checked out the ice and decided he NEEDED to get his skates on.  We had the best night out on the ice skating with headlamps on.  I had so much fun that I decided to get skates for both me and Griffin today.  After Sunday School we headed to Play it Again and this is what we got:

Griffin was the camera man for a while, he didn't quite get the skates in, but did a good job considering the camera is practically as big as his head!

 He did some chair skating. 

 The he skated on his own a bit!  I was so proud--he'd laugh when he fell and would get right back up!

At one point he stated, "I think when I am 5 I will be able to skate." 

I'm so glad the lake had such a great freeze this year!  The ice is like glass!

First T-Ball Game

We had a great time watching Griffin's first t-ball game.  He did a great job hitting the ball.  He did a great job fielding the ball.  He did a great job throwing the ball.  And, he did a great job entertaining us:

 

T-Ball!

Griffin started t-ball this year and loved his first session. It was so well organized! There were 35 kids and 15 high school and college students running the program. They visited stations where they threw the ball, rolled the ball and hit the ball. Griffin had a great time! There will be three sessions of "drills" and three games--that will be cute! (Do you like the outfit, Anita? :) )

Swim Lessons!

We signed Griffin up for private swim lessons at the Y. He did such a great job! He's not a fan of swimming on his back, but he stuck with it and did well. Here's a photo from his last night--he got to go down the waterslide with his new buddy (and swim teacher) Justin! Now he's ready for lots of lake swimming this summer!!

Meet Super Fast Wresting Man

Griffin wanted to have a wrestling "outfit" (long story, ask Jamie!) and so here he is, styling in one of my tanks. He wanted to be called "Super Fast Wrestling Man", to which we agreed and Jamie made up a song about. My boys make me laugh. :)

Go Cardinals!

We went to the Cardinal boys basketball game and it had us on the edge of our seats--to say the very least! When the Cards threw the ball to gain a point on West I was jumping up and down like crazy--and nearly forgot I was holding Griffin! He looked at me like I was half nuts and then got a big smile. I think he knew what an exciting win it was! We'll have a fun-filled basketball week since we are going to the Cities on Wednesday with Michelle and Kendall to catch the girls game--they will be playing in the state tournament! Here is a photo of Griffin all ready to head out to the game.

Getting Ready for Summer

Jamie took out Griffin's fishing pole so that he could get ready for the summer fishing season! Jamie's theory is: The more tangles he deals with now, the less there will be in the boat. Makes sense to me! Here's one of Griffin's good casts, caught on film!

State Gymnastics

We had a great time watching the two Willmar gymnasts at the state meet today--both did an excellent job. Griffin was very entertained watching them flip!

Just Like Uncle Chris!

Grandpa and Grandpa Thompson got Griffin a bike for his birthday....one that will make Uncle Chris proud!

Rails vs. Twins

The other night two of my co-workers were playing baseball against each other so a bunch of us from the office had a BBQ, then went to the game. Griffin loved the bleachers most of all!

Driving

Griffin got to drive Chloe's truck the other day--he was thrilled!

Somersault

When my parents were here Griffin randomly did a nearly perfect somersault...it was crazy! We tried to recapture it and it didn't go as smoothly, but here it is....

Watching the Willmar Boys at the State Swim Meet

We had a fun time watching the Willmar boys in the state swim meet...I guess except for the part where Griffin pitched his sippy cup over the balcony onto the floor next to the pool....but at least he didn't hit a swimmer!

We got a new bowling set for Griffin that is perfect for our upstairs hallway. He's figured out how to get a strike already!

Many Ways to Use a Hockey Stick

Griffin got a knee hockey set from Kari, Josh & Brandon Reuvers (they babysit him quite a bit). He loves his "Griffin-sized" hockey stick and has found several ways to use it! Griffin even says "hockey"!
