My dad was many things: brave, a soldier, an engineer and "the grillmaster". He adored his grandsons and would come up with elaborate schemes to surprise us as children....and the surprises continued when he became a grandpa.
My dad lost his life on August 17, 2013 to a terrible, cruel disease--pancreatic cancer. He faced this battle with amazing courage and often commented about what a good life he had...even until the end.
I am so proud to be his daughter.
